3 jours à New-York
Chuck étant d’accord pour que je prenne un day-off vendredi, je suis donc partie 3 jours à New-York (du 30 juillet au 1 aout) avec Diane, sa soeur et ses 2 enfants (Sonia et Justin), ainsi qu’avec une amie à sa soeur et son fils (Jacob).
Nous sommes arrivés vendredi vers 14H. Après avoir déposé les bagages à l’hotel, situé à deux pas de ground-zero, nous sommes allés manger sur le seaport. Mon repas fut composé de mon premier fish and chips accompagné d’une bière (miam).

Après s’être remplis le ventre, nous sommes partis en direction de Time-Square visiter le musée de Madame Tussauds.

J’y ai rencontré pleins de “personalités” aussi bien mortes que vivantes, je tiens à préciser qu’il y avait quand même 2 français exposés dans le musée : Napoléon et Jean-Paul Gautier (et non maman, il n’y a pas Johnny).

La journée c’est poursuivie par une balade dans New-York :

Pendant laquelle la curiosité nous a poussé à rentrer dans le magasin m&m’s et nous n’avons pas été décus : on y trouve des m&m’s de toutes les couleurs et surtout pleins d’accessoires plus insolites les uns que les autres.

Enfin nous avons fait un tour en bus pour pouvoir admirer New-York by night :

Le lendemain après une promenade le long de East River, nous sommes allés visiter l’Empire State Building.

Un vue incroyable sur tout New-York à en donner le vertige !
L’altitude ca donne faim donc nous sommes partis manger une pizza sur Broadway. Tout au long de la rue on peut observer des “model” habillés par des créateurs:

Après un bref retour à l’hotel nous avons diné le long de East River

Enfin Dimanche, dernier jour, nous avons visité la statue de la liberté. Mais malheureusement le beau temps n’était pas vraiment au rendez-vous…

Après moult controls de sécurité dignes des plus grands aéroports, nous avons enfin embarqué sur le ferry.

De retour sur la terre ferme nous sommes allés faire un peu de shopping sur Time square avant de rentrer à Westborough.

Et voila, trois jours vraiment géniaux qui donnent qu’une seule envie : c’est d’y retourner !
